The course is designed or officers in charge of a navigational watch, for experienced officers and those with navigational responsibilities. It is based on the Merchant Navy Training Board and IMO 1.27 Model Course syllabus.
The training aims to equip the student with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to keep a safe navigational watch using electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS), interfaced with other onboard equipment to maintain safety of navigation.
We keep the training very practically based, split between presentations to build foundation knowledge and many practical exercises on Transas Navi-Sailor 4000 ECDIS.
